WHY IS AGC OF AMERICA HOLDING THIS SUMMIT?
To help build a stronger government relations network among the 89 AGC chapters by:

• Providing a gathering—in the absence of competing events and responsibilities—for chapter government relations staff to connect and network with their AGC peers;
• Identifying state/local policy trends of national significance to help chapters and national AGC be proactive in addressing the pressing issues facing the construction industry; and
• Sharing best practices, advocacy/issue strategies, and case studies.   

WHAT IS THIS SUMMIT?
It’s the only event dedicated to AGC chapter government relations staff and their issues. The Summit will include panel discussions, roundtables, and networking opportunities.  A survey will be circulated to help identify topics. Suggestions are welcome (send any to Jimmy Christianson at jimmy.christianson@agc.org). 

WHO ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND THIS SUMMIT?
Chapter executives and in-house chapter government relations staff. While many chapters utilize consultants for GR activities, only AGC chapter employees are welcome for this event. 

WHEN IS THE SUMMIT?
Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the day after the 2022 AGC National & Chapter Leadership Conference (NCLC)—held Sept. 18-20 in Washington, D.C. at the Ritz Carleton—concludes. In-house chapter government relations staff—who may not normally attend the NCLC—are welcome to attend the NCLC on Tuesday (9/20) and participate in the associated Capitol Hill visits with their Chapters.  

WHERE IS IT?
AGC of America Headquarters at 2300 Wilson Blvd., Suite 300 in Arlington, Virginia—a short cab drive or Metro ride (at the Court House Metro stop) from NCLC at the Ritz Carleton in Washington, D.C. 

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?
Chapter Executives & In-House Chapter GR Staff attending NCLC & Summit: Those attending the NCLC are welcome to extend their stay at the Ritz Carleton, check out on Wednesday morning (9/21) and bring their luggage to AGC HQ.
