The Canadian Medical Association's 155th Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held virtually on Sunday, Aug. 21, 11 am to 3:15 pm ET. The AGM will be followed by the Nominations Committee report from 3:30 to 4 pm ET, where delegates can vote on the president-elect and other nominations (non-delegates will have the option to stay on as observers for this portion).
The virtual format will include live webcasting of all proceedings, secure online voting for those with voting rights, and a moderated question and answer (Q+A) opportunity. CMA membership is a prerequisite for voting at the AGM. Physicians and medical learners must join or renew their memberships with the CMA before 8 pm ET on Tuesday, Aug. 16.
If you are unsure about your membership status, please contact the CMA Member Service Centre (MSC) at memberservicecentre@cma.ca or 1-888-855-2555. The MSC will confirm all registrants’ eligibility.
Non-members, including members of the public, may register to observe the AGM.
The agenda and other information is available online at www.cma.ca/annual-general-meeting. Reports and additional meeting resources will also be published online as they become available.
