Anthony Ray Hinton was exonerated and released from death row in Alabama in 2015, with the assistance of the Equal Justice Initiative. He had served 30 years for a capital murder he did not commit. The Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life, Freedom, and Justice tells his story. Come learn about critical problems that plague our criminal justice system and how you can help make needed changes.
Week 1: May 11
Mr. Anthony Ray Hinton will share his experience.
Week 2, May 18
A representative from the Equal Justice Initiative will describe the difficulties they encounter with the criminal justice system as they pursue equal justice for all.
Week 3, May 25
A panel discussion describing difficulties encountered with the criminal justice system in Pennsylvania.
