The North Georgia Annual Conference will be hosting in-person Clergy Ethics trainings between January 23, 2023 and March 25, 2023. There is one invite-only session on Sunday May 21st. The May Sunday session will begin at 3:00pm sharp and go until 8:00pm. Dinner will be provided. Plan to arrive early to sign in before we begin at 3:00. Attendees MUST be present for the entire training. The cost of the training is $100 and you will receive 1 Continuing Education Units for fully participating during the entire session. The registration fee includes the cost of processing a criminal background check. To be in compliance, we are requesting all clergy and lay supply complete a criminal background check. You will receive further instructions regarding your background check prior to your registered ethics session.
In order to be in good standing and eligible to continue to serve under appointment, all clergy and lay supply must attend one of these 2023 scheduled sessions. This training is to fulfill our denominational requirement to complete an ethics training for all clergy and lay supply per quadrennium (2016 Book of Resolutions ¶2044). Attending one of these 2023 trainings will fulfill the required ethics training for the next quadrennium, January 1, 2023-December 31, 2026. All trainings hosted in 2018 and all Lewis Center trainings since 7/1/2018 fulfilled the time period of January 1, 2018-December 31, 2022.
Please note that in order to complete this registration you must pay the $100 registration fee with a debit/credit card that is either a Visa or MasterCard. Your registration is not complete until you have paid your registration fee.
