Please join us for the IIA–San Diego Chapter’s Chief Audit Executive Roundtable, scheduled for 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on March 27, 2024.
Program Description & Learning Objectives:
Using a facilitated roundtable approach, local audit executives will discuss current topics faced by their individual departments and the profession as a whole. Robust discussion on hot topics allows diverse viewpoints and successful practices to be shared. Participants will learn from peers how other CAE’s are addressing specific issues allowing them to then utilize successful practices being used by other Internal Audit groups. CAE’s will also have the ability to submit topics for group discussion. Possible topics for discussion include:
Managing the Internal Audit function
Developing and retaining high quality staff
Cybersecurity
SOX 404 compliance
External Auditor Relationship
New Accounting Standards
Audit Committee Communication
Developing the Internal Audit Plan
Internal Audit Metrics
Technology utilization
Outsourcing
Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP)
IIA Professional Practices Framework (IPPF)

Prerequisites: Current or previous experience as the head of the Internal Audit department for an organization (company, governmental agency, non-profit) or those with equivalent experience.
Advanced preparation: None
Program knowledge level: Intermediate
Attendance requirements: This event is an INVITATION-ONLY event designed for Chief Audit Executives (CAE) or those with CAE equivalent experience. In order to be awarded the full credits, you must be present during the entire program and respond to six out of the eight polling questions asked during the program.
Institute of Internal Auditors, San Diego Chapter is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org.
Speaker: The roundtable will be facilitated by Meghana Jagdish, Director Risk Consulting at RSM US LLP and Elmira Stamkulova, Senior Manager at Deloitte.
