Social Media can be a powerful tool for networking, collaboration and marketing for academics. #ScienceTwitter, for example, is a fun and informative way to share new discoveries with other researchers around the world. One of ASU’s most prolific twitter users is Dr. David Shiffman, who is a research associate and former postdoc based in Washington D.C. He goes by the handle, @WhySharksMatter, and has nearly 60,000 followers. Dr. Shiffman will be sharing his tips and tricks for having a successful social media following in this Postdoc Lunch and Learn.
