We are pleased to host the 2018 Fall Seminar for the IIA OKC Chapter at PHF Conference Center at OU Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. Our presenter will be John Gatto. John brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from multiple industries to his presentations for our Fall Seminar, “ITGCs for the Non-IT Auditor” and “Auditing Preparedness”. He has a reputation for delivering his topics with energy and enthusiasm, so don’t miss this opportunity to increase your skill set while having fun at the same time.
Day 1: ITGCs for the Non-IT Auditor (8 hours CPE)
All auditors, either financial, operational, or IT come into contact with IT processes and outputs. Understanding how this impacts the area being audited is crucial to performing a comprehensive and valuable engagement. The training will focus on general audit and IT overviews and various IT control models, the need for risk management, the general controls framework needed in any IT Organization, and what the auditor should look for during an audit involving these areas.
Day 2: Auditing Preparedness (8 hours CPE)
Internal Auditors have a key role in organizational preparedness, from assessing risk to auditing associated policies and procedures. We will focus on four key areas of preparedness and the audit function’s role in development and review of these areas: Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Crisis & Change Management, Auditing Disaster Recovery & Business Resumption Planning, and Ethics and Internal Audit.
November Luncheon: TBD with Ashok Kannan, Devon Energy (1 hours CPE)
