Dear Carl

RTC Events Management (RTCem) announces today the resignation of Executive Committee member and Region Chairman for North America, Mr. Jim Balding. Jim is stepping down in order to focus more of his time on his company, The ANT Group, and his family. Having been an active committee member since the inaugural North American event in 2011, and Region Chairman for the last three North American events, Jim feels it is now time to add fresh perspective and ‘new blood’ to the committee process and the Region Chairman role.

The selection of Mr. Balding’s replacement is being undertaken by the RTC Events Management Executive Committee, and a further announcement to this end is expected in the coming days.

Over the past 6 years, Jim has made significant contribution to the phenomenal growth of RTCem, both as an event series in North America and as a globally-trusted community, and has been instrumental in many of the developments that have become synonymous with the RTCem brand. “Jim’s energy, enthusiasm, and vision have helped to position RTCem as a premier environment for training, networking, and sharing on a global basis” says Wesley. “His charisma, his onstage persona, and his unflagging dedication to what is best for the community, first and foremost, is something of which we are justifiably proud, and we wish him all the very best as he moves on to the next stage of the entrepreneurial journey.”

Jim offers: “I have always believed deeply in the goals and aspirations of RTC. I came on board to help get the fledgling North American event off the ground with quality and community at the forefront; I feel that I have accomplished that. While I absolutely love RTC, and even more so the people that I have been working with over the past six years, it is simply time to step away gracefully and allow it to grow still further. I plan on keeping in touch with everyone I have come in contact with and look forward to a bright future for RTC and RTCem. Please feel free to reach out anytime to text, email or even chat. I am stepping down, not out.”

Jim has also held the title of Partnerships Manager since 2011, and this role will be handed over in the coming weeks. Jim will continue his involvement with RTC as a mentor to his replacements over the next year, and we look forward to the opportunity to have the community express their appreciation to him as we have... once we trick him into confirming attendance to RTC NA 2017 in Toronto.
