Overview
In June 2017 the ESFA published some additional guidance on how the 20% off the job training element of an apprenticeship should work in practice. This guidance was driven by providers asking questions and requesting clarity on what is being heralded as one of the key delivery strands of an apprenticeship that will drive up quality.
This webinar will consider and discuss some of the key considerations for teams when dealing with the 20% off the job training requirement to ensure that providers meet both the quality requirement of Ofsted and the audit requirement of ESFA whilst ensuring that the programme is meaningful and valued by employers and apprentices alike.
Training aim
The aim of the webinar is to provide information about the 20% off the job funding rule and provide an opportunity to explore the implications of this in relation to high quality apprenticeship delivery.
Outcomes
By attending this webinar you will learn:
- how the ESFA are expecting providers to implement and monitor the 20% off the job training
- how providers can work with employers to maximise the off the job opportunities and add value to the overall apprenticeship
- how provider teams can ensure that evidence which meets the requirements of funding, audit and quality is collected
- about ways in which high quality delivery can be supported with case studies from providers already delivering standards.
