Got Something To Say About Elder Abuse?
Are you working on a project, or do you have an idea or experience to share concerning elder abuse?
If so, we encourage you to submit an abstract to be considered as a presenter in the 5th National Elder Abuse Conference program.
We are planning a program that will be interactive, dynamic and stimulating. In particular, we are looking for innovative projects, emerging research data and personal stories from those working in the front line or those directly impacted by elder abuse.
The Conference will have four concurrent themes that will explore the complexities of elder abuse:
- Legal
- Health
- Social and
- Policy
Additionally, to ensure the Conference reflects the diversity of Australia’s older people, within and across the abstract themes are ‘threads’ that relate to priority populations including:
- Disadvantaged and vulnerable older people
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Culturally and linguistically diverse people
- Gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex people.
Don't Miss Out!The closing date for submission of your abstract is 1 September 2017.

We also encourage you to reach out to people you know, who you believe will make a valuable contribution to the Conference program and ask them to consider submitting an abstract before the closing date too.
