Future Apprenticeships Masterclasses - innovation in apprenticeship delivery

The overarching aim of the masterclasses is to inspire providers and employers to think about how they can improve the quality of their delivery in the move from apprenticeships frameworks to apprenticeship standards.  The apprenticeship reforms bring significant changes and supporting providers to embed innovative practice from the start of delivery is important.

The key note speaker will be Alison Fuller, Pro-Director (Research and Development), Professor of Vocational Education and Training at the University College of London, Institute of Education.

Following the key note address there will be inputs from employers and providers about how they have moved their provision forward, thinking not just about the logistics of delivering apprenticeships standards, but also about how to develop cutting edge innovative approaches which have significant benefits for apprentices, providers and employers.

There will also be an opportunity to explore how the principles and practices that emerged from ETF’s Teach Too and Two Way Street programme of research and development on the co-design of curriculum and pedagogy can be incorporated into the design and delivery of apprenticeship standards.

Delegates will also learn how the successful integration of Skills Competitions into companies’ HR development strategies for experienced staff and apprenticeships can support high-level competitive skill development.

The masterclasses will be delivered through a combination of speaker input and facilitated sessions that provide plenty of opportunities for delegates to explore how different approaches can be adapted, contextualised and incorporated to meet a range of different needs. Delegates will be encouraged to start to reflect on how they can apply the principles explored during the masterclass in their own organization to develop innovation within their apprenticeship provision.

Who is this suitable for?

The master class is aimed at Strategic Leaders (including those involved in governance) and Senior Managers from providers of all types including employers who are providers.
