Paul Baker - Frontier Pro: "How to Maximize the life of a gearbox" Paul Baker, V.P. Business Development has been working in the wind industry since June of 2004 when he joined Moventas. He had responsibilities including Service Manager, Sales & Marketing Manager Wind Gears North America, and Product Manager Wind Gears North America. His background has been in the sales, repair and application engineering of industrial gear drives for the past 18 years. A graduate of the US Navy Nuclear Power Program, he completed undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin and Arizona State University. He has served on working groups with AWEA, CANWEA, and AGMA. The proud founding chairperson of the NW Wind Industry Alliance, Paul is currently active on the NW Renewable Energy Institute PAC Committee. |

With roughly 13 years experience in the wind industry, James is well versed in wind gear maintenance and is well-known for his innovative approach to up tower services. Ross gained his Masters degree in Electrical and Reliability Engineering in 1975 in Sydney Australia and has since worked as both an Electrical Engineer and Mechanical Engineer. Ross has been working as an engineer within the maintenance arena for the last 46 years, spending the first 16 years in the Australian airline industry, where he ultimately specialized in Reliability Engineering and was involved in the implementation of maintenance philosophies and concepts, which are now referred to as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM). |

David Clark David Clark co-authored condition monitoring specifications for wind turbine manufacturers and their generator and gearbox test stands. He has been involved in gigawatts of end of warranty inspections and retrofits of condition monitoring on megawatt class turbines. He has experience monitoring and analyzing manufacturers wind turbines ranging from 100kw up to megawatt class turbines from multiple manufacturers in multiple countries. |

He has been associated with Abaris since its inception in 1983 and has been employed by Abaris Training since 1989. His background includes many years of education and experience in composite materials research & development, manufacturing engineering, material & process engineering, and tool design and fabrication. Lou has been a professional member of the Society for the Advancement of Material & Process Engineering (SAMPE) since 1982, having published a variety of technical papers over the years. Kevin is active on several IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society standards working groups and is the Co-Chairman of the American Wind Energy Association Operations and Maintenance Working Group for the development of wind power plant maintenance recommended practices. |
