What Makes Places Great? A Discussion on Urban Planning

Place-making is a term that refers to the various kinds of people-friendly furnishings and programming, and has entered the lexicon of urban planning and development.

Michael Stern is an expert when it comes to Place Making. He is an architect, city planner and head of the Philadelphia office of Strada, a cross-disciplinary architecture and design firm of which he is a founding partner. Learn about Strada's core mission of creating “great places.” Stern will present three case studies of Strada projects that are intended to be great places—places that enhance the everyday lives of people to live, work and play.
