The starting point is at the back entrance of the Stadsgehoorzaal Leiden: Aalmarkt 7A. The starting time is at 07.00hrs. Registration is open from 06:30hrs (latest 06:45hrs)

Collection of your registration pack prior to the run can be done from 06.30hrs to 06.45hrs.
Joining instructions
About one week before the meeting you will receive a pre-travel information email containing all information relating to the Thyroid Cancer Awareness Run.
Parking
Please check this link for all parking possibilities in Leiden. As a considerable part of the city center is pedestrianised, there are not many parking areas close to the venue. The Stadsgehoorzaal does not have its own parking garage.

The weather in September is usually warm, with daytime temperatures of around 18-19 C. As The Netherlands has a sea climate, there is always a probability of rain.
Health
The Netherlands has an excellent health service. Travelers do not normally require certificates of vaccination or insulation to enter the Netherlands. It is advisable to check whether your personal or company medical insurance policy covers you while traveling to the Netherlands. Visitors receiving special medical treatment should bring a medical prescription or a letter of introduction from their family doctor, in case they need to purchase particular medicines.
Currency
The Dutch currency is the Euro. Credit cards are widely accepted. Banks, Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) can be easily found around the airport and the hotel.

Entry to the Netherlands is granted to all foreigners possessing valid travel documents. Participants requiring a visa are kindly requested to contact the nearest Ducth embassy or consulate on time. Dutch embassy’s around the world have a list with all nationalities that require a visa to enter the country.
