European Telemedicine Conference 2015
 
ETC Scientific Track

This year ETC will highlight research on health technology and telemedicine with a special conference track dedicated to presentation of scientific results. For this track, researchers all over Europe have been invited to submit abstracts to present their work.

How does it work?

Among 35 submissions 19 abstracts have been chosen for presentation by the international program committee. All accepted abstracts will be published in a supplement to the International Journal of Integrated Care.

The program for the scientific program of ETC 2015 focuses on the following topics:

  • New Telemedicine Studies
  • Assessment of Effectiveness and Cost-Effectiveness
  • New Possibilities for Technology Use in Clinical Practice
  • Patient and Clinician Perspectives on Technology
  • Health Informatics and Clinical Practice

All submitted abstracts have been reviewed by the program committee that consists of the following members:

Opening keynote speaker on the 21st October is Prof. Carolyn McGregor from University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada speaking about "Big Data analytics for new approaches to Telemedicine and Personal Health and Wellness Empowerment on Earth and in Space".

Josep Roca, MD, from University of Barcelona will close the scientific program on the 22nd October with a presentation about Personalized Medicine for Chronic Patients in an Integrated Care Framework.

Poster Session (21 October, 16:10-17:10)

The scientific poster session will feature selected abstracts presented by the authors of each study, and will be a informal opportunity to network and engage in discussions with international researchers from a diverse set of clinical and information technology fields. The posters will present studies and other activities related to development, assessment, and implementation of telemedicine and health informatics solutions in general.
