Many thanks for your contribution to the 2013 SEXrurality Conference. Please refer to the information below to help prepare for your presentation.

ORAL PRESENTATION INFORMATION

Confirming your presentation
You are required to confirm your oral presentation via the Speaker Confirmation Site by Friday 19 July 2013 or you will be withdrawn from the Conference program.

Consent to be filmed. The SEXrurality Conference Sessions will be filmed and edited with selected sessions and parts thereof published on the CERSH website. In confirming your presentation you consent to be filmed. (Please see Presentation Consent Form below)

FINAL PRESENTATION UPLOAD

A copy of your final presentation slides are required prior to the conference.

You can do this via the Speaker Confirmation Site by COB on the Monday 12th August.

Please ensure the presentation is in .ppt or .pptx format. 

A copy of your presentation should also be brought to the conference on a USB.

PowerPoint Presentation Tips

• All text should be in PowerPoint, preferably in light text on dark background
• There should be no more than 5 x 1 line bullet points per slide
• Optimum title text is 45 - 55 points and no smaller than 36 points
• Body text should be at least 26 points
• Avoid UPPERCASE letters as they are hard to read
• Please keep to the time limit of your presentation.

SPEAKER REGISTRATION
All speakers are required to be registered to attend the 2013 SEXrurality Conference. If you have not already done so, please register HERE

Speaker biography
A brief biography of no more than 50 words is to be provided if one was not provided during abstract submission. Biographies may include presenter's positions, career details and major work achievements to date. Biographies should be written in third person. Your biography will be used when introducing you as a speaker at the conference. Please login to the abstract submission site with your email address and password. You can do this via the Speaker Confirmation Site.

AV Requirements
Your presentation should be created and presented in PowerPoint. Each meeting room will be equipped with data projection facilities, lectern and microphone.

Please advise any specific audio visual requirements (e.g. DVD player) to the Conference Secretariat by Friday 19 July 2013. You can do this via the Speaker Confirmation Site.

AT THE CONFERENCE

Please introduce yourself to the CERSH staff upon arrival who will assist you with directions to the AV support and your session room.

Media and Privacy

Presentation Consent Form
You will be provided with a presentation consent form including the consent to be filmed and for your presentation to be made available on the CERSH website. 

Allow your PowerPoint to be accessed on the Conference website. Speaker presentations will be published on the conference website post conference (unless specified otherwise). We require all speakers to provide permission for their PowerPoint presentations to be published. All presenters will be given the opportunity to submit a revised PowerPoint for publication on the website.

Allow media contact. A media consultant may wish to contact you due to interest from media bodies. The media embargo for all data and information from abstracts or presentations is the date of the presentation at the conference unless indicated otherwise. Information in materials distributed to the media in advance is embargoed until when the data or information are due to be presented in the conference program. We kindly request that all media co-operate with this policy.

Cancellations and Substitutions

Please avoid late cancellations or substitutions as marketing material including the conference handbook and program with the speaker's name and organisation will be pre-printed and cannot be removed at a later date.
