He joined the PCO Business in 1987 and he held various positions within the sector until he settled in his current position as Director of Sales and Marketing of Barceló Congresos, one of the leading PCO’s in Europe. Besides the mentioned skills, he is a an expert and professional consultant in business development, business strategies, management and presentation of bids, destination marketing as well as association management.

Tshifhiwa Mamaila

Tshifhiwa Mamaila completed his Masters degree in Social development in 2005 at the University of Pretoria and his BA (Honours) degree in Social Work in 1996. He worked for different sectors in South Africa including Public / Government, Private Sector, NGO, Hospital, Mining, Correctional Services and he is currently an Employee Wellness Specialist and Consultant in Private practice. 

He has been involved in the Counselling, Employee Wellness, HIV and AIDS field for fifteen years as an Employee Wellness manager, EAP practitioner and Social worker. He has been exposed to a number of training as part of his continued professional development such as: Investment in Excellence, Franklin Covey’s seven habits, Project Management, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Hypnotherapy, Reiki Master and Regression.

He has served in the Employee Assistance Professionals Association since 2007 holding the following portfolios: Marketing, Vice President, President and now the Immediate Past President of the Association. He has won an International award for his role as the President of EAPA during the 2013 World EAP conference in Phoenix Arizona.

He has presented at national conferences and represented EAPA-SA at international conferences including being a guest speaker at the ICCA African Chapter conference in Arusha. He is now a member of the conference programme planning panel for the 2014 World EAP conference in Florida.
