Gordon Tewell | Innovest Portfolio Solutions, LLC

Gordon is a Principal, Consultant and member of Innovest’s Investment Committee.    He is an occasional speaker at numerous industry conferences including the Western Pension and Benefits Council/American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries national conference, the Colorado Public Plan Conference, among others.  Gordon has more than 18 years of retirement plan industry experience.  At Innovest, Gordon provides institutional consulting services to committees and boards of various types of retirement plans, both corporate and public-sector. Due to his expertise in retirement plan design and management and in-depth understanding of IRS Code and DOL rules and regulations, his responsibilities include consulting on plan design and features, plan health and retirement readiness, fiduciary responsibilities and protection, plan benchmarking, vendor search analysis, and investment menu design and implementation.




Kathleen OdleSherman & Howard, LLC 

Kathleen is a partner in the Employee Benefits Group at Sherman & Howard, where she has practiced in the area of employee benefits and ERISA for 24 years.  Kathy represents all types and sizes of employers, including private employers and publicly traded companies, governmental plans, and non-profits, on all of their employee benefits needs.  Kathy is ranked #1 by Chambers USA for Employee Benefits Law, is named a Super Lawyer for Employee Benefits, and is Best Lawyers’ 2012 Employee Benefits Lawyer of the Year.




Shane BrownEKS&H

Shane Brown is a partner in the audit service area of EKS&H and has been involved in public accounting since 1998, serving private and public companies. He has expertise in the construction industry, including working with contractors large and small, specialty contractors, governmental contractors, as well as, architecture and engineering firms. He also works with clients in the distribution, real estate and manufacturing industries, and has extensive experience in employee benefit plan audit and compliance. Shane is a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional.  His professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants.  He is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association, Associated General Contractors of Colorado, Associated Building Contractors and Rocky Mountain Surety Association. Shane is a board member for various charitable organizations.





Theresa McDowell | EKS&H

Theresa is a Senior Manager in the Audit service area of EKS&H and has been involved in public accounting since 1996, serving privately held companies.  She has extensive experience in the employee benefit plan area.  Theresa has worked with over 100 plans to address the compliance issues that have arisen as a direct result of the financial statement audit of the plan. Her expertise expands beyond the financial statement audit to assist clients in bringing their plans into compliance with their plan document as well as ERISA.






Rebecca Franciscus | U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission

Ms. Franciscus is an Attorney Advisor with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s, where she reviews and analyzes all new matters in the Denver Regional Office, and handles investor outreach and education. Prior to her role as an Attorney Advisor, Ms. Franciscus was an Enforcement Staff Attorney in the Commission’s New York Regional Office and the Denver Regional Office for 11 years. As an Enforcement Staff Attorney, Mrs. Franciscus investigated and litigated numerous matters involving violations of the federal securities laws, including financial frauds, Ponzi schemes, insider trading, market manipulations, and offering frauds. Some of her notable cases include Qwest Communications Corporation and InfoUSA, Inc.  Ms. Franciscus obtained her B.A. with honors from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1995, and her J.D. from the C.U. School of Law with honors in 1998.


Wendy Dominguez | Innovest Portfolio Solutions, LLC

Wendy is the President and co-founder of Innovest Portfolio Solutions LLC. She has 20 years experience in the investment consulting profession. Her clients include some of the largest public and private sector retirement plans in the state of Colorado. At Innovest, she is responsible for client coordination with providers, money managers, custodians, administrators, auditors and actuaries. She oversees retirement plan vendor searches and money manager searches, and personally handled vendor and manager negotiations for clients saving them, in many cases, hundreds of thousands of dollars.



Rick Rodgers | InSight Employee Benefit Communications

Rick is a co-founder and Principal of InSight Employee Benefit Communications. With more than 23 years of experience working as an educator and consultant to governmental and private-sector retirement plans, he offers clients a rich perspective on the firm’s continual effort to improve the design and effectiveness of their defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans. His contributions to the retirement plan industry include education and communications programs that foster a prudent and practical approach to investment selection, fee transparency, and plan design.




Doug Inglee | Innovest Portfolio Solutions

Doug is a Consultant and Vice President with Innovest Portfolio Solutions LLC.  He leads Innovest’s Request for Proposal efforts for clients, evaluating and benchmarking plans and their service providers. He manages the relationships between service providers and plan sponsors and provides ongoing vendor management. He is an Education Specialist and provides proven participant education workshops and individual counseling, customized for each client on a wide range of topics including investing fundamentals, pre-retirement planning, and plan investment vehicles. Doug earned the Qualified Plan Financial Consultant designation from ASPPA, a designation which demonstrates his expertise advising and supporting qualified retirement plans. An Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), Doug has expertise in investment fiduciary standards of care and fiduciary best practices, which help clients to implement prudent policies and procedures into investment practices.

Ben Graves | Hays Companies

Mr. Graves joined Hays Companies in 2009.  Previously, Ben was General Counsel and the Director of Compliance for Administration Resources Corporation, a Cafeteria Plan and COBRA administration services company.  In his current role, Ben is responsible for technical and compliance advice for Hays Companies team members and their clients, regarding employee welfare benefits, utilizing legislation, agency rules and guidance.  Prior to entering the employee benefits field, Ben provided safety and risk management consulting services for various employers and clients.  He has over 27 years of experience in risk management and benefits.


Kevin Morgan | J.P. Morgan
 
Kevin is Vice President and Retirement Plan Consultant for Investments in Retirement Business for J.P. Morgan Asset Management, covering Southwest region.  Kevin lives just outside of Forth Worth, TX and is a 19-year veteran of the retirement plan industry.  He has extensive experience in investments strategies, 401k plan sales, plan implementations/conversions, relationship management with plan sponsors and direct participant communications/education.  Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Kevin held positions with Fidelity and Deutsche Bank.  Kevin holds NASD series 6 and 63 licenses.  He attended the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in business managment.
