LOS CABOS

Stretching along the tip of the Baja Peninsula are the sparkling towns of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, known as "The Capes" or "Los Cabos."  In the last 15 years, Los Cabos has evolved from a sleepy hideaway for recluse fishermen and yacht owners into one of Mexico's most popular and outstanding destinations.

It is unique in its striking desert landscape, dry climate and unspoiled beauty. Visitors are surrounded by a dramatic coupling of endless cactus desert, backed by cinnamon mountains, and bordered by miles of sandy beaches and clear, azure waters.  With an average temperature of 80°F and over 350 sunny days per year, Los Cabos is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of this unique stretch of land.

San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas anchor the area's resort strip, the miles between known as the corridor, which follows the Sea of Cortez coast line and blessed with lovely beaches.

SAN JOSE DEL CABO
(RBS will be staying in this area of Los Cabos)
San Jose del Cabo is a pleasant town of meandering streets and lush palm groves, with the languid pace of a colonial village.  It has a handsome Municipal Palace, charming courtyard restaurants, shops, boutiques, and a lovely tropical estuary.  The atmosphere here is subdued compared to the nightlife town of Cabo San Lucas. It is here that you may travel back in time and experience the colonial history and cultural rich past of this original mission town to reveal the true picture of a Mexican, tranquil village.

CABO SAN LUCAS
At the tip of the peninsula and about 18 miles west of San Jose is a boom town still developing.  Cabo San Lucas boasts sophisticated shopping, a great number of fine dining restaurants, a 300 slip marina and a very active nightlife.  San Lucas is also a hot spot with fishermen and scuba divers.  Just off shore is El Arco, the area's signature landmark and one of Mexico's most amazing natural wonders.

THE CORRIDOR
In the corridor, with some of Baja's most beautiful beaches, is the zone where Los Cabos is staking its claim as Mexico's premier golf destination, with seven championship courses in operation and several new courses under construction.
