TRAVEL PACKET
Approximately three weeks prior to your trip, you will receive your travel packet that will include your flight itinerary, luggage tags and program itinerary.  The packet will be mailed to the address you designate on your registration form.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS/PASSPORT
Passports are required for U.S. citizens traveling to Mexico. Please be sure to check the expiration date to ensure your passport is valid until at least July 20, 2018.  The name on your airline ticket must match exactly the name on your passport.  Should you need to apply or renew your passport, please visit the U.S. Passports & International Travel website.

AIRLINE INFORMATION
Docherty Incentives & Meetings will issue airline tickets utilizing nonrefundable airfares.  Any changes or cancellations resulting in penalties or increased airfares are at your expense. If you have a change in your plans, please notify Docherty Incentives prior to your departure.   We recommend arriving at the airport 3 hours prior to your departure time to allow for increased security measures, especially for international flights. Upon check-in, please verify that the airline has routed your luggage to Los Cabos, Mexico.  The airport code for Los Cabos is SJD.  We recommend that you carry all travel documents, medications and any valuables on your person or in your carry-on bag when you are traveling.

LIQUIDS AND GELS IN YOUR CARRY-ON
Please review the following regulations.  You may also refer to the Transportation Security Administration website.  All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in 3.4 ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be 3.4 ounces or smaller.  All liquids and gels must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Each traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items. A sample of items includes lip gloss, mascara, shampoos, hair gels, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, water, etc. Certain exceptions will be made for prescription and over-the-counter medicines.

LUGGAGE
Prior to departure all luggage should be marked with the Richards Building Supply luggage tags included in your travel packet.  Please keep these on your luggage throughout the trip.  Insert a business card or write your name on the tag insert.  Note that some carriers will allow one checked bag per person for $25.00 with a $40.00 charge for a second checked bag per person.  Please note that airlines regulations can change at any time; therefore, please check your carrier’s website for further information.   Each piece of luggage should not exceed 62 inches (length+height+width) or weigh more than 50 pounds.   Airlines will charge for overweight bags.  We suggest you weigh your luggage prior to arriving at the airport to make sure no piece exceeds the weight allowed.  Charges for luggage are at your expense and will be collected by the airline at check-in.   Please note that you are allowed one carry-on bag per person (not to exceed 45 inches in overall dimension and weigh more than 40 pounds) and one personal item such as a purse.  You will need to be able to stow the carry-on item in the overhead compartment or under the airplane seat.

UPON ARRIVAL IN LOS CABOS
Upon arrival at the airport in Los Cabos, you will first pass through Immigration, where your passport will be stamped.  Collect your luggage at the baggage claim area and proceed to Customs.  Once through customs, please proceed OUTSIDE the terminal.  Do not stop or speak with any of the merchants in the terminal as they are taxis and time share people and must not be acknowledged. Once outside you will be welcomed by local travel staff holding Richards Building Supply signs.    They will assist you with your luggage and escort you to your transportation to the Hyatt Ziva Resort, a 25-minute transfer.  If you plan to arrive before January 14, you are responsible for getting yourself to the hotel.   Your return transfer back to the airport at the end of the program will be handled on site.  You will receive a departure notice outlining your return time and transportation pick up schedule.  If you plan to depart after January 20, you are responsible for getting yourself to the airport.
