This area of the site will answer some questions about the conference.



What time does the conference open and close each day?
The conference will run from 9am each day and closes at 5.30pm Tuesday and Wednesday, 4.45pm on Thursday.  There will also be breakfast and evening symposia held each day. More details available in the full conference programme.

Can I register on the day?
Yes, onsite registration is open at the following times:

Monday 28 April (Pre-conference):   16.00 - 20.00
Tuesday 29 April:   07.30 – 18.30
Wednesday 30 April:   07.00 – 18.30
Thursday 1 May:   07.00 – 16.30

Onsite registration fees will include an additional administration charge and therefore it will be cheaper for you to register in advance. Please note that during the conference, the registration desk will be busy and you may need to queue. It is advised that you register before the conference begins on 29 April.

What registration type can I register for?

Will you send a delegate badge to me? 
No, we do not post out delegate passes. Please collect your badge on site during the following times:

Monday 28 April (Pre-conference):   16.00 - 20.00
Tuesday 29 April:   07.30 – 18.30
Wednesday 30 April:   07.00 – 18.30
Thursday 1 May:   07.00 – 16.30

I can't attend the conference any more, can a colleague go in my place?
If you would like to amend the name on your booking, please contact the BSR events team (lmcclenaghan@rheumatology.org.uk). This will incur an administration fee of £20. 

I can't attend the conference any more, can I get a refund?
Cancellations received in writing by the BSR events team (lmcclenaghan@rheumatology.org.uk) by 5pm on Friday, 28 March 2014, may be refunded in full but will incur a cancellation fee of £20. We regret that we cannot offer refunds for cancellations received after this date, although substitutions may be made. This will incur a £20 administration fee.

What is included in my conference ticket?
  • Entry to the scientific session of your choice on the days for which you have registered. (BSR cannot guarantee capacity in any particular session, although we will do our best to avoid disappointment)
  • Entry to the exhibition
  • Delegate bag (subject to availability for those registering on site)
  • Lunch and refreshments
  • Entry to the president's reception on 29 April. 
 
Where can I see the full conference programme?

I have dietary or access needs, how can I let the organisers know?
During registration there is an opportunity to let us know about any dietary or access needs you may have. We will attempt to provide for all requirements within reason. If you have already registered and need to update your details or you have a severe allergy that may be affected by indirect contact with certain foods, please contact us directly.

How do I get to the conference venue?
Rheumatology 2014 will be held in the ACC, Liverpool which is easily accessible from all over the UK.  The full address for the venue is Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool, Kings Dock, Liverpool Waterfront, L3 4FP. For further travel advice, click here.

I need to book accommodation, can BSR provide hotel recommendations?

How can I pay for my registration?
We can accept payment by credit and debit card or cheque.  We do not accept payment by BACs. 

Invoices must be paid in full within 30 days of booking. If registration takes place less than thirty days prior to the event, payment must be received before the conference date, 29 April 2014. BSR reserves the right to refuse entry to delegates for non-payment.
