Jamie Macgregor

Jamie Macgregor is the Senior Vice President of Celent’s Insurance practice and is based in the firm's London office. Jamie has led the development of Celent’s innovation framework and has been a major contributor to shaping Celent’s global insurance agenda. His research focuses on IT strategy and the technology challenges facing the European life and pensions market, contributing to the debate around innovation, digital transformation, BPO strategies, the impact of regulation, and, more recently, the emerging fintech arena.

Jamie’s career spans over 21 years in both management consulting and the insurance industry. Prior to joining Celent, Jamie was a Senior Manager within Deloitte’s management consulting practice, where he led engagements focused on helping clients develop their IT strategy aligned to their business goals, post-M&A integration, and enterprise architecture. While at Deloitte, Jamie also directed the learning and development programme for the Architecture & Analysis capability, and was a core team member contributing to the development of both the Insurance Core Systems Transformation proposition and the technology implications of the Retail Distribution Review Readiness proposition for the UK Life, Pensions and Wealth Management market. While in industry, Jamie performed a number of key lead IT / Business interface roles, such as Head of IT Strategy for AXA UK & Ireland, and led change delivery at both AIG and Zurich Financial Services.

Jamie has an MBA from the University of Southampton and a first class BSc Honours degree in Business Information Technology from the University of Portsmouth. He has also attended Driving Strategic Innovation at the IMD was selected for Telemaque (a global leadership development programme run by AXA University in partnership with INSEAD), and is currently studying for his doctorate in business administration researching innovation. Jamie is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Information Technology Practitioner, and Member of the British Computer Society.

Joe Policella
Joe Policella, Banking, Financial Services and Insurance Consultant, NTT DATA

Joe has over 27 years of experience in the IT Industry as a software developer, architect and business consultant. He assists clients in achieving transformational change by driving tactical and strategic delivery of projects. His hands-on experience in enterprise architecture, project management, business process re-engineering, software development lifecycle improvement, real-time infrastructure design and requirements engineering help him deliver services to clients across Europe and North America.

In his current role, Joe is responsible for NTT DATA’s Insurer of the Future proposition, which helps financial services companies disrupt their markets by designing, implementing and deploying technologies such as IoT, social media, digital, cloud, robotic automation and advanced analytics. Prior to joining NTT DATA, Joe worked in the Space Station program at the Johnson Space Center.


Normand Lepine
Normand Lepine is a consulting executive with more than 30 years’ experience advising and delivering business and system solutions. Norm leads Data and Analytics for Insurance clients at NTT DATA. He is committed to helping insurance carriers use information to better manage and operate their organizations with a focus on the key areas of Advanced Analytics, Digital Distribution, Operational Efficiency, and Customer Centricity. He has worked with clients on strategic application of information through implementation of large-scale Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Customer Relationship Management, and e-commerce systems primarily in P&C, L&A and health insurance while bringing insights from work with clients in the retail and direct marketing, financial services, and telecommunications industries. Norm previously served as the Northeast Regional Practice Director for BI and National Competency Lead for Healthcare Analytics at The Revere Group, Practice Area Lead for Enterprise Architecture at DarwinSuzsoft, Global Managing Partner for CRM at Scient, Vice President of Solution Architecture at Tessera Enterprise Systems and worked for Hewlett Packard, Coopers & Lybrand Consulting, Digital Equipment Corporation and The Stanley Works in a variety of technology consulting, product management and development roles. Norm’s undergraduate work was in Biomedical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Steve Keohane
Steve Keohane, Business Development Director, Convergent Home Technologies.

In the initial wave of internet developments of the 1990s, Steve founded a specialist security software and consultancy business – ASPACE Solutions – and as CEO, led the growth of the business through to its eventual acquisition by a U.S. Nasdaq-listed company.

Over several years, Steve has identified specialist software vendors to develop products and solutions specific to the financial services market and is actively involved in the FinTech arena. His interest around the Internet of Things and, in particular, the opportunities for the property insurance sector led Steve to join Convergent Home Technologies in its drive for the adoption of the Dianemo nerve-centre in the connected smart home space.

Steve holds an MBA in Financial Services.

John Pyall
John Pyall, Facilitated Claims Department , Great Lakes Insurance (Munich Reinsurance) U.K.General Branch.

John Pyall has a M.B.A. and a Post Graduate degree in Business Administration. He has worked twenty-five years for Munich Reinsurance. Originally in the legal section of their Claims Department in London has now returned there to be responsible for claims arising from their Great Lakes Facilitated operation, in the meantime he spent five years as Regional Head of Claims and Underwriting Services in their Singapore Office, then head office in Munich as coordinator of their international claims departments in Asia Pacific And Africa and on to Hong Kong, heading up the regional claims unit as well as continuing his role as the Claims Co-ordinator for their International Organisation.

Among other articles, he has been author and technical editor of the Chartered Insurance Institute book on Reinsurance and author of the Claims section of the Chartered Insurance Institute book on Practice of Reinsurance. He is also a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and a qualified mediator. He has lectured for the Chartered Insurance Institute, Singapore College of Insurance, Asia Insurance Review, London Guildhall University and for a number of other clients and societies on different aspects of, insurance claims, wordings and reinsurance.
