ASDAN and MEI
ASDAN is a pioneering curriculum development organisation and awarding body that provides courses to thousands of UK and international schools, colleges, youth centres and training providers. Our programmes and qualifications offer flexible ways of accrediting skills for learning, skills for employment and skills for life. ASDAN's courses are designed to develop learners’ personal and employability skills through an engaging and challenging curriculum of activities.
Mathematics in Education and Industry (MEI) is a maths education charity that develops innovative ways to improve maths education. Our professional development courses for post-16 GCSE Mathematics and Functional Skills and are ideal for teaching staff whose contact time with students is limited. They model successful and engaging teaching and share fresh approaches that can help learners to understand and remember strategies where other methods haven’t worked for them.
ASDAN and MEI have worked together to develop a new Mathematics Short Course. We’ve also developed free resources to help teaching staff to engage their learners by relating maths to how it’s used in the workplace. We’re planning to do more in the future so please come and talk to us – we’d love to find out how we can help you
