
RACE RULES
Rule #1: Be kind to each other! All participants are welcome. Men, woman, children, fast, slow, runner, walker, old, and young.
Rule #2: Enjoy and have FUN!
AWARDS
All preregistered participants will be awarded a Pumpkins In The Park 5K T-Shirt. The top three finishers in the following age groups will be receiving an award:
· 10 and Under
· 11-19, Male & Female
· 20-29, Male & Female
· 30-39, Male & Female
· 40-49, Male & Female
· 50 and Over, Male & Female
Top 3 in the following teams: Runner Plus 1, Runner Plus 2
CELL PHONES, HEADPHONES & iPODS
For reasons of safety, we strongly discourage participants from using any such devices during the race. If you feel that you must have one with you, please keep the volume low so that you can hear vehicular traffic, instructions from police or course marshals, and comments from nearby runners.
CANCELLATION
If you cannot participate, the entry fee is not refundable and non-transferable to next year’s event. We will, however, allow the entry to be transferred to another participant. In the event that the entry is not used for the 2013 event, we will be happy to provide you a T-Shirt from the race, written request is required. For a mailing and handling fee of $10.00, you can have a T-Shirt mailed to your home. Send us the request via email or regular mail, including your name, street address, and phone number.
WHERE DOES MY REGISTRATION FEE GO?
CAN I RUN WITH A JOGGING STROLLER AND MY KIDS?
As long as they like to have fun…all children 5 and under can run with an adult FREE of charge and do not need to register!
CAN I RUN WITH MY DOG?
NO DOGS at the race.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT FOR YOUNGER RUNNERS?
No age limits If they can cover (running, jogging, walking, strolling) the 3.1 miles of the course they can absolutely do the 5K! Remember though, as soon as they turn 6 they will need to register and have a race bib!
IS THE PUMPKINS IN THE PARK 5K TIMED?
The runners participating in this event will be timed. You will receive your race bib with the number and chip used to time your run.
