Dr. Imad Yassin Saadeldin obtained his MD in pediatrics (Facharzt) on 1994 from Vienna and Graz Universities, Austria, and the Fellowship in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine from the Austrian Medical Association, Vienna, Austria. He did his postgraduate training in pediatric neurology at the Pediatric Neurology department, Graz University Hospital, Graz, Austria and obtained his Postgraduate Pediatric Neurology Certificate. He obtained his membership from the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child health from UK on 2004.

He was Consultant Pediatric Neurologist and the head of Pediatric Neurology Division at Armed Forces Hospital, Southern Region, Saudi Arabia from August 2006-February 2011, Consultant Pediatric Neurologist at Tawam Hospital, UAE from May 2011 to August 2012 and Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UAE University, Consultant Pediatric Neurologist at American Center for Psychiatry and Neurology, UAEfrom 09.2012 to 17.02.2015, Pediatric Neurologist at Medeor 24x7 Hospital, Abu Dhabi from 01.03.2015 till 16.02.2018. On March 2018, he joined Kidsheart Medical center as Consultant Pediatric Neurologist. He is a member in the following societies: American Epilepsy Society, American Clinical Neurophysiology Society, European Pediatric Neurology Society, American Association of Neuromuscular &Electro diagnostic Medicine, Asian & Oceanian Child Neurology Association and Infantile Seizure Society.

Dr. Saadeldin has also extensive experience in performing and interpreting electroencephalography, onabotulinum toxin (BotoxR) for patients with spasticity. Dr. Saadeldin has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed international journals in the fields of pediatric neurology/epilepsy.

Dr. Mohamed Sulaiman MD

I am accredited by the American Board of Pediatrics/Sub-board of Pediatric Cardiology and I am a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. My Bachelors of Medicine and my first Pediatric Residency were completed at Yemen’s Sanaa University.

In 1999, I was accepted into the Pediatric Residency at the prestigious Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. While in my residency, I received the World Health Organization award for Excellence in Pediatric Training. In 2002, I became board-certified under the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics. I remained at Columbia University to serve as a Teaching Resident and a Fellow of Pediatric Cardiology from 2002 to 2010. During that time, in 2004, I was awarded “Teacher of the Year.” Following my pediatric board certification, I became Assistant Attending Physician in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Columbia University Medical Center.

The next year, in 2005, I got accepted into the Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship program at the University of Illinois, where I received my specialization qualifications from the American Board of Pediatrics for Pediatric Cardiology. Later, in 2008, the University of Chicago Medical Center appointed me as Pediatric Cardiologist and Assistant Professor. After that, I came to the UAE and was named Pediatric Cardiologist at the Tawam Hospital in Al Ain and, in 2013, I established KidsHeart: American Fetal and Children’s Medical Center, the regional center for diagnosis and treatment of fetuses, children, and adults with congenital and acquired heart disease.

Today, I am a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Cardiology. My research in Pediatric Cardiology has been published in the American Journal of Genetics and the Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgeon Journal.

Prof. Dr. Amin El-Gohary

Prof. Dr. Amin El-Gohary completed his MBBCh in 1972 and his Diploma in General Surgery in 1975 at Cairo University, Egypt. He became a fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons in UK: Edinburgh in 1979, London in 1980, and Glasgow in 1997. Prof. Dr. Amin worked initially in Egypt, then moved to Kuwait, then to UK, before coming to UAE in 1983. In the same year, he became the Chief and Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery of a large government hospital. Additionally, he held post as a Medical Director for the same hospital starting 1989. He was appointed as Chief Disaster Officer during Gulf War in 1991. He also held post as the Clinical Dean of Gulf Medical College, Ajman for 3 years. Prof. Dr. Amin is well known in Abu Dhabi for his extensive interest and involvement in scientific activities. He is the President of the Pediatric Surgical Association of UAE. He was awarded the Shield of the College of Pakistan in 1996 and the Medal of International Recognition in pediatric urology from the Russian Association of Andrology in 2010. He was given a Silver Medal from the Royal College of Surgeons – Ireland in 1978 and an Honorary Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons – Glasgow in 1997. In 2001, he became a Visiting Professor at Munster University, Germany. Prof. Dr. Amin is a member of several associations in pediatric surgery: Executive Member of the International Society of Intersex and Hypospadias Disorder (ISHID), British Association of Pediatric Surgery, Egyptian Association of Pediatric Surgeons, Asian Association of Pediatric Surgeons, and Pan African Association of Pediatric Surgery. He is also the founder and member of the Arab Association of Pediatric Surgeons. Prof. Dr. Amin has an intensive academic and teaching experience, has written several publications in distinguished medical journals, and has made several poster and paper presentations in national and international conferences. Currently, he is an external examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons.
