About CSSP

The Certified Sport Security Professional (CSSP) certification program establishes standardized competencies among individuals holding leadership positions in the sports security industry, ensuring the most current techniques, strategies and solutions are used to mitigate safety and security risks inherent to spectator sport venues.

The certification focuses on advancing the sports safety and security industry by addressing the competency requirements of current security professionals and those related professionals in law enforcement, emergency management, government, public safety, human resources and event management, among others. Becoming certified provides a way to build off previous security experience, strengthen relationship[s with peers in the field of sports safety and security, demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional development, and expand your career opportunities.

Attend the Review Course

NCS4 will host a CSSP Review Course on Monday July 6th, 2015 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. The review course is a one-day intensive session that covers the six knowledge domains of the CSSP exam. Each module provides participants with a renewed understanding of the terms, concepts, principles and procedures applicable to the work performed by sport safety and security professionals. Practice test questions with immediate feedback help you identify areas for further study and assess your readiness to take the actual exam. Participants will receive a complimentary CSSP Guidebook and enjoy a great opportunity to network and learn from industry peers.

Take the Exam

The CSSP examination will be offered to eligible applicants on the closing day of the conference. The exam will be administered at 2 p.m. on Thursday July 9th, 2015 (room assignment to be announced). In order to be considered eligible to take the exam, individuals must first submit their application and all supporting documentation by June 1, 2015. Approved applicants will receive a notification of test eligibility before arriving at the conference. It is free to sign-up. Register today!
