RTDNA National Meeting 2015

Welcome

Dear Friends & Colleagues,

Journalistic excellence in the digital age is the new modus operandi for our members. As journalism continues its lightening speed and ever changing transition to digital and social platforms, the RTDNA is working to provide the right environment to help incubate the next iteration of this content delivery revolution. We are excited with our line up of sessions which are smart and relevant and all contain take aways that will make our newsrooms more vibrant and sustainable.

Once again the conference will get the top decision makers from each network to talk about the challenges of the digital transition and we will also hear from some of the digital pioneers – Facebook and Google. We will learn from seasoned reporters about the top tips on how to cover stories across all platforms;  being an election year, we have sessions on polling in the digital age, and making that all important call on election night.  We will delve into the latest ethical challenges facing our business, including sponsored content as our industry looks for new and innovative revenue streams. And at the end of the day  -- even in the digital age, we are all story-tellers, and we will present a back-to-basics session about 10 tips for narrative storytelling.

Whether you are a seasoned veteran or a student of the craft, welcome to our annual convention. This is an excellent opportunity to learn some new skills; challenge yourself with some new ideas and network with colleagues and competitors. A big thank you to our Special Partners, our convention sponsors, our members and delegates. Without your support many of the ideas presented together with the associated dialogue would not be part of this dynamic conversation we all need to be having.

We look forward to welcoming you to RTDNA 2015 in Toronto.
