Course outline
This 1-day course will provide a detailed overview of nailfold capillaroscopy, including diagnostic guidance, clinical examples and research applications. Attendees will have the chance to learn from clinical and technical experts the relative merits of various capillaroscopy devices, and there will be a focus on practical, hands-on sessions with a number of microscopes and imaging systems available to use. A number of volunteers with systemic sclerosis will be attending to allow “live” imaging.

![]() | To allow delegates to perform capillaroscopic examinations with (a) high magnification videocapillaroscopy (b) dermoscopy |
![]() | To describe the abnormalities which are suggestive of a systemic sclerosis-spectrum disorder |
![]() | To demonstrate an awareness of application of capillaroscopy in the research setting |
