Paul Taylor Editor of the FT's Connected Business and US Telecoms Editor, Financial Times Paul Taylor is the editor of the FT’s The Connected Business section, which focuses on the application of IT to business, and US telecommunications editor. He joined the FT in 1978 and has since served as local government correspondent, assistant news editor, Americas page editor, New York correspondent, foreign news editor, SE Asia business correspondent and management writer. He was the FT's UK-based IT correspondent for most of the 1990s, launched the FT’s personal technology column in 2002 and started The Connected Business service in September 2010. Mr Taylor left the FT briefly in 2000 to help found a web-based technology analysis start-up and moved back to New York, where he is now based. He speaks regularly at conferences on technology and the Internet. He has also appeared on CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, BBC TV and others. Mr Taylor received a post-graduate degree from Cardiff University, Wales, and a BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University. |

Paul Bosher European Director of Business Intelligence, Coca-Cola Enterprises Paul Bosher joined Coca-Cola Enterprises in January of 2011 as European Director of Business Intelligence, working within the European Strategic Marketing team. His primary responsibilities include the sourcing of external information and research, data analytics and the conversion of insights into both long and short term strategic decision making. Prior to CCE he worked at Johnson & Johnson for 13 years, initially in the UK sales team where he was Grocery Channel Director before moving to Corporate Business Improvement where he led projects ranging from Marketing Restructures to HR Outsourcing. Prior to J&J, Mr Bosher worked for a number of Market and Market Research agencies initially within the statistics and analytics area before spending most of his career in client services and new business roles. |

Jonathan Liebenau Reader in Technology Management, Department of Management, London School of Economics Jonathan Liebenau is Reader in Technology Management at the London School of Economics where he works on the political economy of information and communication technologies. His most recent book is Banking on Innovation: modernization of payment systems and over the past few years he has led a research team focusing on business models, regulation and differential economic activity in the internet. This has led to reports on economic and employment trends for future technologies, big data in financial services, sustainability in 4G, changing internet architectures and traffic, near field communications and mobile business models. In addition to numerous scholarly publications, he has conducted research for UK, US, EU, OECD and other official bodies on ICT policies and practices and with major corporations around the world. He has held appointments with leading academic institutions and professional bodies in the US, Britain, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Egypt and Turkey. |

Lesley Neary Head of Performance and Intelligence, Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust Lesley Neary is an informatics specialist and has worked in the informatics field in the NHS for over 14 years. Starting her career within the NHS as a systems developer Ms Neary then moved into analysis and performance management. She has worked across a number of healthcare sectors, predominantly within Commissioning and Community Trust environments. Ms Neary’s current role is Head of Performance and Intelligence for Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust (LCH). The Trust was formed in 2010 as part of the Transforming Community Services (TCS) programme. In 2011 LCH acquired a number of services as part of the TCS changes. The Trust now delivers over 65 specialist community services to around 750,000 residents in Sefton, Liverpool, Knowsley and surrounding areas. Ms Neary is currently responsible for the provision of analytical services; data warehouse implementation - including the development of a mobile application, business intelligence, data quality monitoring and management, and performance management. Ms Neary’s role is to ensure effective and high quality performance management of all services, maximising the use of resources and driving productivity within an agreed financial framework and in line with Directorate and Trust priorities. Ms Neary has a real passion for service improvement in order to improve health outcomes for patients and a strong commitment to public services. |

Irene Ng Professor of Marketing and Service Systems and Director of the International Institute of Product and Service Innovation (IIPSI) at WMG, University of Warwick Irene Ng is Professor of Marketing and Service Systems and Director of the International Institute of Product and Service Innovation (IIPSI) at WMG, University of Warwick, where she also leads the WMG Business Transformation and Service Systems research groups. Professor Ng is involved in several government-funded research projects in the digital economy, including being the Principal Investigator of the RCUK Hub-of-all-Things project as well as co-investigator of the RCUK New Economic Models of the Digital Economy (NEMODE) Network+ project. Prior to joining academia, Professor Ng was an entrepreneur for 16 years as CEO of SA Tours, one of Southeast Asia's largest tour operators, and the founder of Empress Cruise Lines, which she had built into a venture worth US$250 million in annual turnover when she sold it in 1996. Since becoming an academic in 1997, Professor Ng has received global recognition for her work in value, new business models and service systems, with 22 journal articles, three books and national appointments such as the ESRC/AIM Services Fellow in 2008 and ESRC/NIHR Fellow in 2009. Professor Ng is also author of Creating New Markets in the Digital Economy: Value and Worth(Cambridge University Press, Jan 2014 -http://valueandmarkets.com/wordpress) In her keynote address Professor Ng will examine the implications of digital connectivity, including the need to design and scale future business models to better fit ‘lived lives’, creating value as well as increasing worth so that new markets can emerge. |

Ruchir Rodrigues, Managing Director, Digital Strategy and Delivery, Barclays Bank Ruchir Rodrigues is the Managing Director of Digital at Barclays Bank. In his role, Mr Rodrigues is responsible for all the digital and mobile initiatives for the Retail and Business Banking group with a focus on UK and Europe. Barclays’ digital group under Mr Rodrigues is critical, as it is responsible for improving the cost structure of current bank operations by integrating self-service channels over the Internet and mobile devices. Throughout this digital journey, his group is also accountable for the launch of innovative business models by leveraging new consumer behaviours, social media and the innovation in consumer electronics. Prior to his current role, Mr Rodrigues was Corporate Vice President, Product Strategy and Development at Verizon where he was responsible for product innovation, strategy, delivery and development of new business models for the Consumer group. He has been the recipient of Frost & Sullivan Product Innovator awards and holds several patents for product and business innovation. He earned a Master of Science Degree in Engineering from Arizona State University. |

Paul Scullion Head of Business Intelligence, Carphone Warehouse Paul Scullion is the Head of Business Intelligence for Carphone Warehouse PLC, the largest independent European telecommunications retailer with c2,000 stores and well-developed online channels. He has been providing business intelligence in the mobile telecoms industry since 1999 and has been instrumental in creating a culture of “single version of the truth” in CPW. He is passionate about value adding data visualisation and creating answer-based, user focused BI dashboards. Mr Scullion has recently designed and deployed tablet based Business Intelligence dashboards to all retail sales colleagues in the UK. The dashboards provide clear and concise presentation of colleague and branch KPIs and allows the user to compare their branch’s performance against any comparable branch in the territory. The intuitive design has removed the need for user training with the tablet dashboard available to over 6,500 colleagues in nearly 800 UK branches. |

Paul Zolfaghari President, MicroStrategy Prior to his election as President, Mr. Zolfaghari served as the Chief Operating Officer of ParAccel, Inc., an analytic database company headquartered in California, a position he had held from January 2011 to November 2012. Prior to his tenure at ParAccel, Mr. Zolfaghari served as MicroStrategy's Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales & Operations from December 2007 to January 2011, as Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Operations from August 2006 to December 2007, as Vice President, Worldwide Business Affairs from March 2005 to August 2006, as Vice President & Chief of Staff from July 2003 to March 2005, as Chief of Staff from November 2000 to July 2003, and as assistant to MicroStrategy's President & Chief Executive Officer from December 1999 to November 2000.
