James Billingham (Chair)Head of Skills - Service DesignIngeus James commenced his career in logistics at Corus Distribution (2000) as a product development engineer and account manager. A career change into the training and development industry led him to become a National Account Manager for logistics training providers delivering learndirect provision and then moved to become Regional Manager for Skills for Logistics (2005-2008). During this time he championed Skills for Life within the logistics sector and was a national lead within the supply chains of automotive and removals. Subsequently, he has worked in roles as Head of Operations, Managing Director and Product & Implementation manager for private training providers. He recently joined leading national employment and training provider Ingeus Training in the role of Head of Skills – Service Design.
Over the last 12 months, he has been involved in multiple projects linked to the logistics sector. This includes working with logistics stakeholders in London to establish the first Logistics Group Training Association and working with logistics organisations to deliver relevant, specialist training programmes with an evidenced return on investment.
He is passionate in the role of AELP Logistics Skills Champion working with logistics training providers in raising the profile of the industry and working with employers and stakeholders across the country to promote the quality of training, expertise and knowledge that AELP logistics providers posses and deliver.

Paul TurnerFutures LeaderNCFE Paul has 30 years’ experience of working in the UK skills arena and has managed a wide range of pre and post 16 funded provision in both the public and private sectors across the North East and Cumbria as well as Northern Ireland. A qualified Teacher, Assessor, Internal and External Verifier his specialism is Apprenticeships, having been involved in them since 1987. He’s worked at NCFE for over 11 years and his current role is Futures Leader in the NCFE Futures and Insight team. Part of his present work is analysing the Apprenticeship reforms and what they mean for employers and providers of skills programmes in the UK. |

Mike CoxOperations DirectorAssociation of Employment & Learning Providers (AELP) After 13 years in retail purchasing and supply, Mike became an assessor for apprenticeships with TBG Learning in 1999. He soon moved onto various development roles with learndirect, RNID and then LSN where he headed up the bidding and development team, helping design support programmes and research in areas including Train to Gain, Citizenship, Diplomas, Key Skills, Functional Skills and Foundation Learning. He joined AELP in February 2013. Mike is married with 2 children and lives in rural Kent. |
