Conference registration closes in just two days

There are only two days left to register for the 7th annual international insurance conference, and spaces are going fast.

The event, which will be held in Luxembourg, this year boasts 27 high ranking speakers from the insurance industry, its regulators and other key stakeholders.

Two new speakers have also just been added to the programme. Nathalie Berger, head of the insurance & pensions unit at the European Commission Directorate General for the Financial Stability, Financial Services & Capital Markets Union will be moderating the break-out session on bringing pensions to life, while Xavier Larnaudie-Eiffel, deputy CEO of CNP Assurances France will be speaking at the session.

Embracing smart technology in insurance

Insurance Europe’s 7th international insurance conference will see a group of technology and insurance experts discuss the application of smart technology in the home and on the road, discussing how advances in these areas will affect insurers and their customers.

These experts include:

  • Torbjörn Magnusson, vice-president of Insurance Europe and President & CEO of If P&C Insurance. 
  • Aldo Monteforte, co-founder & CEO of smart technology firm, The Floow.
  • Lionel Paillet, general manager of Europe for smart technology company, Nest Labs.

Speakers and moderator announced for under insurance breakout session

Insurance Europe has announced Anna Maria D’Hulster, secretary general of the Geneva Association as moderator, and Kai-Uwe Schanz, chairman & partner at Dr. Schanz, Alms & Company, and John Tan, CEO of Asia Capital Reinsurance Group, as speakers for its breakout session on under insurance, and the protection gap it results in.

The session will examine how the protection gap is both defined and measured for non-life and life and health insurance, and the participants then discuss how insurers can address it.

Keynote speakers announced for the 7th International Conference

Insurance Europe has announced a number of keynote speakers for its 7th annual conference to be held in Luxembourg on 27 May.

Governor Dirk Kempthorne, Chair of the Global Federation of Insurance Associations (GFIA) and President and CEO of the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), is to be the first keynote speaker of the day, and will be followed later in the morning by Burkhard Balz MEP.

Insurance strategy panel line-up announced

The line-up for the insurance strategy panel discussion at Insurance Europe’s 7th annual conference has been announced.

The lively debate, which will examine global differences and similarities in insurance CEO’s strategies, will include Inga Beale, CEO of Lloyd's of London, Henri de Castries, CEO and chairman of Axa and Felix Hufeld, who is chairman of the Executive Committee, the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS).

ACA, the professional association of the Luxembourg insurance and reinsurance sector has expressed its pleasure at hosting this year’s Insurance Europe International Conference.

Following the success of our 6th International Conference, Insurance Europe’s 2015 conference will again feature highly interactive break-out sessions to complement the plenary speeches and panels.             
 
There will be five break-outs, on topics including; using smart technology in the insurance sector, addressing the global insurance protection gap and investing in infrastructure.

The break-out sessions will aim to be a group discussion between delegates and leading experts in their fields.
