Dr David Nolan is a Consultant Physician in the Department of Immunology and Director Research at Royal Perth Hospital, and an adjunct Associate Professor at the Institute for Immmunology and Infectious Diseases at Murdoch University.

After completing medical undergraduate training at the University of Melbourne (1990) and junior medical training at the Austin Hospital, and registrar training at Royal Darwin Hospital (1995-1996), David moved to Perth to work at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (1997-1998) before commencing work at Royal Perth Hospital in 1999 with a Clinical Research Fellow position from 2000-2006. His PhD studies investigated newly-recognised HIV drug toxicity syndromes such as lipodystrophy,and drug hypersensitivity reactions, and he maintains a strong interest in translational research focusing on long-term HIV management while providing clinical care for a large hospital-based HIV cohort.
