Eszter Kismödi JD. LLM. is an international human rights lawyer on sexual and reproductive health law, policy and research. She holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Toronto Law School and a law degree (JD) from the University of Law, Pècs, Hungary. Currently she is a visiting scholar at Harvard Law School and works as an independent expert consultant for a number of UN agencies and international organizations, such as WHO, the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the World Association of Sexual Health. She has extensive working experience on contributing to the work of UN treaty monitoring bodies, the Human Rights Council, UN Special Rapporteurs and regional human rights bodies. Her working experience extends to Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East and Latin America. She participated in national legal and policy reviews and reforms on sexual and reproductive health and human rights in several countries, including Hungary, Tajikistan, Malawi, Uganda, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.  She is a core member of RORE, Rights Oriented Research and Education network in sexual and reproductive health, an editorial board member of Reproductive Health Matters, and she was the member of WHO’s Ethics Review Committee for 4 years.
