The annual Summer Research Conference (SRC) at UC San Diego will take place on August 12 and 13, 2026. This is the largest research conference open to undergraduates in all academic fields and backgrounds who are conducting faculty-mentored summer research in the San Diego region. Any undergraduate, as long as they fulfill the expectations mentioned above, is welcome to present at the 2026 SRC at UC San Diego.

*Presentation at the SRC is required for some UC San Diego Summer Research Program participants.

The conference registration fee of $130 is waived for panel moderators and volunteers. Faculty, staff, academic researchers, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate students are invited to register as moderators. 

Moderators: Thank you for being available to moderate roundtable discussions. Priority registration for moderators is due July 24th. The SRC staff will reach out about your assigned session(s) about a week before the conference.

Volunteers: Thank you for volunteering to help staff the registration tables and help with directions/signage at the SRC. Priority registration for volunteers is due August 7th. The SRC staff will reach out about your assigned time(s) a few days before the conference.

Program Staff: Program Staff are invited to attend the conference and support student presenters. The cost is due to meals and facilities fees. If do you not intend to share meals, please register as a guest/attendee. Registration for program staff closes August 3rd.

Student Presenters: The registration deadline is July 10th. Registrations and abstracts are able to be modified until July 14.

Attendees/guests: We ask that you register in advance, although registration will also be available on a walk-in basis during the event. There is no registration fee for attendees/guests.

**Note that meals at the SRC are not provided for attendees/guests attending the conference; food is available for purchase at the many restaurants in the Price Center.

We ask that people attending the conference, regardless of registration status, check in at the reception desk in the Price Center West Ballroom.
