Based on the unique sampler section in Kate's book Simple Soldering, students learn useful basic soldering techniques that enhance their current skill- set. No metalworking experience is necessary. Students will complete a series of sampler projects on 1" x 1" copper squares. After finishing this fast-paced class, students will be ready to move on to more complex projects with confidence.

Included Kit ($25 Value): 8 1"x1" copper squares, a variety of metal blanks, Assortment of wire for rivets and jumprings, sterling silver bezel wire, semi precious stone. Use of torches and soldering supplies in class.

Materials you are required to bring: 1.8mm hole punch pliers, bench block, chasing hammer, flush wire cutters, metal file, metal shears, medium wrap & tap pliers or other round nose mandrel pliers with a barrel about 5-7mm in diameter OR a dowel or knitting needle of the same diameter. Students should bring them if they have the following. There is a limited supply to use in class: design stamps, brass mallet, jeweler's saw and 2/0 blades, bench pin, texture hammers
