Bio
Karin Finkelston serves as IFC’s first Vice President for Asia Pacific. Her responsibilities include
overseeing IFC’s investment and advisory programmes as well as maintaining relationships with key
government and private sector partners in the region. Prior to her appointment as Vice President, Ms
Finkelston was IFC’s Director for East Asia and Pacific. Ms Finkelston joined IFC in 1996 and was
appointed Country Manager for China and Mongolia in 2000. Prior to joining IFC, Ms Finkelston was a
Vice President at Manufacturers Hanover Trust in New York and Hong Kong, and also a Manager at
KPMG Consulting in Hanoi. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in
English Literature from Dartmouth College.
