Bio
Suneet K. Maheshwari is Group Executive Vice President, L&T Finance Holdings Ltd, which is
promoted by engineering and construction conglomerate Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T). Mr
Maheshwari has 33 years of experience in India in infrastructure financing, corporate finance,
investment banking and private equity, as well as in the infrastructure and energy sectors. He has
set up new strategic business units with a P&L responsibility in rapid growth or greenfield start up
situations on four occasions – and has expertise in locating, attracting, building and leading teams.
Prior to his role at L&T Finance Holdings, Mr Maheshwari was Founder Managing Director & Chief
Executive of L&T Infrastructure Finance Co Ltd, a Public Finance Institution and non-bank financial
company with a book size of about USD 3 billion. He remains a director of this company, and also
serves as a director for L&T Infra Investment Partners Advisory Pvt Ltd; L&T FinCorp Ltd; L&T
Housing Finance Ltd; L&T Infra Debt Fund Ltd; and Feedback Infra Pvt Ltd. He is also currently
a member of the National Council on Infrastructure at the Confederation of Indian Industry. Mr
Maheshwari has held several positions at industry bodies and government task force, and since 1991
he has been closely involved with various infrastructure sector reforms and PPP initiatives. He has a
Bachelor in Science from Bombay University and an MBA from the Symbiosis Institute of Business
Management, Pune University. He has also completed training programs in strategy and operations
management and restructuring of financial institutions and banks at Harvard Business School.
