The IIA Chicago Chapter is excited to continue our partnership with Cog Hill Golf & Country Club as host for the Annual Golf Classic on Monday, August 28, 2023, on Course No. 2.  Since opening in 1929, Course No. 2 has been a favorite of Cog Hill's regular golfers.  The sporty, championship layout is routed through wooded, rolling terrain and challenges golfers with ravines on nearly half of the holes, hence its nickname the "Ravines."  In addition, Cog Hill brings the following technology that should make it more fun for everyone and increase our sponsor exposure to all golfers throughout the golf round:

  • Top Tracer – Golf range use includes Top Tracer technology at each hitting bay and shuttle cart service to/from the range. Golf range with complimentary range balls is open from 7:30 AM to 8:45 AM.  Hitting bays will be reserved for our event at the north end of the driving range nearest to the clubhouse.
  • GPS - Each cart is equipped with GPS for course yardages and course map.  At each tee box, the sponsor logo will pop up on the GPS unit.
  • Golf Genius Mobile App - includes mobile scoring and event results link.  The applicable golf hole sponsor’s logo will appear on mobile app when golfer enters team score.  All scoring is done through the Golf Genius mobile app.

The 2023 program represents a great opportunity for the Chicago Chapter to provide its members a tremendous experience at a Chicago area, premier-rated golf course & facility at a reasonable price for all levels of participation, with networking for sponsors, golfers, and volunteers!  Please register soon to guarantee your spot!  Invite and encourage your fellow colleagues and clients to attend.  The event offers a fun golf tournament for all skill levels and provides a tremendous networking experience within the IIA and internal audit community.

Let’s make 2023 our 9th straight sell-out with players, sponsors and volunteers from over 50 companies.

What a Terrific Value!

August 22, 2022 Annual Golf Classic Recap

For the 8th consecutive year, the IIA Chicago Chapter Annual Golf Classic was a sellout.  The weather was perfect all day on Monday, August 22, as the 148 golfers and 30 volunteers and sponsors from over 50 companies started their day at our new venue, Cog Hill Golf & Country Club.

At registration, every golfer received a goody bag that included donated company logo items, such as ball markers & tees.  Some started the day with a hot breakfast burrito, and others warmed up hitting golf balls at the driving range that included Top Tracer technology at each hitting bay.

During the golf round, participants enjoyed beverages sponsored by Brilliant, which included soft drinks, water, and beer.  At 11 golf hole tee boxes, representatives from our sponsors greeted golfers and provided additional gifts for the golfer’s goodie bag, including sunscreen, koozies, and other fun items.

Lunch at the turn included an RSM sponsored lunch with Cog Hill jumbo hot dogs, grilled chicken, and hamburgers.  In addition to our six contest holes, on Hole #7, a Beat-the-Pro contest contributed to the overall excitement at the event for all.

Following golf, everyone was then treated with two-hour open bar, dinner, and an awards ceremony.  Our golf event winners were presented with trophies and prizes, including golf balls, wine, Apple airpods, and $100 gift cards from Amazon, American Express and Gibson’s Steak House.  Finally, our Raffle ticket winners received cash, Apple airpods, BlueTees Rangefinder, foursome round of golf at Cog Hill, $100 Amazon and Lettuce Entertain You gift cards, golf wear, golf balls, gift baskets from Vonya Global and Brilliant, The IIA’s CIA Learning System Online Full Kit Parts 1-3, and other great prizes.  All our sponsors received an Annual Golf Classic pin flag as a thank you gift for their sponsorships and donations.
