Communication between spacecraft and scientists on Earth is fundamental to Artemis Missions and involves many considerations that are unique to transmission and reception of signals across large distances. In this webinar, we will learn about relationship between frequency, wavelength, and speed with respect to electromagnetic waves, and the latency time for communication between Earth and other cosmic objects in the solar system. This activity covers standards in Computer Science (CSTA 2-DA-09), NGSS Engineering Practice, and Common Core math standards on representation of numbers (CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.8.EE.A.4). We will also explore how to make these resources more culturally responsive. Join us for this free webinar!
