Description
Back in 2005, the management at Nemetschek Scia had a growing problem. Releases for Scia Engineer, calculation software used by construction engineers, were coming in with huge delays. What was in fact causing the delays was how product management and development interacted with each other. Their process for reaching decisions about the priority of what would be developed (or not developed) was slowing things down. By 2009, the senior software engineer and eight other developers had quit. It was clear that something in the process or the organization needed to change.
This presentation tells the story behind the Kanban Success Series case study (http://leankanbanuniversity.com/kanban-success-series-nemetschek-scia) of how Kanban transformed Scia Engineer from a dysfunctional product in 2009 to a progressive solution in 2013.
