Program

For the first program in the series, you are invited to learn more about the advancements in treatment for children  with blood cancer presented by Dr. Crystal Mackall and Dr. Alice Bertaina. Dr. Crystal Mackall will review the effectiveness of T-Cell based immunotherapies with an emphasis on CAR T-Cell Therapy for children with cancer. Dr. Alice Bertaina will discuss Stem Cell Transplantation in pediatric patients and its effects on the whole family. They will both discuss treatment decision making, process, safety, efficacy, side effects and follow up care. Additionally, Dr. Tanja Gruber will join at the beginning of the presentation to welcome her team. There will be a Question & Answer session at the end of the program. There will also be an opportunity to learn about the pediatric resources LLS has to offer families.
