Program

Cancer care improvements over the last 20 years have made us proud to have a growing population of cancer survivors. However, this also came with a challenge: long term side effects of treatments and psychosocial distress. Cancer diagnosis and treatment affects all aspects of patients’ lives, i.e. their relationships, intimacy, fertility, body-image, school/work life, career goals, bone health, quality of life, and long-term health. In this program, we will discuss the possible ways women survivors can be affected by the treatments they receive for their leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma diagnosis. Attendees will also learn about resources available in their local community and those provided by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Patients and their caregivers are welcome to attend.
