Program Description

Administration in higher education is increasingly complex, with rising administrators taking on formal and informal leadership roles to support their unit and institution. This online seminar series offers strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness in key administrator competencies.

Delivered in four live, online modules, the seminar will offer trends and promising practice in the areas of institutional effectiveness, planning and resource management. The first three modules include a presentation from a leading expert in the field followed by discussion and activities for application led by an experienced practitioner. The final module explores the connections between these key competencies and provides some strategies for influencing and leading change.  Attendees gain new skills for cultivating a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture at their institution and a support network of peers at other institutions.

The seminar will be facilitated by Christian Collins, Vice Chancellor of Institutional Effectiveness at City Colleges of Chicago District, acommpanied by featured speakers for each module.
