Authentication & Biometrics

24 October 2019, Warsaw

The payment industry may be going through some major shifts, but one thing remains the same: the need for security and trust.

The rapid adoption and evolution of digital payments needs to rest on a rock-solid digital security framework. Meanwhile the evolution of regulation (like the Payment Services Directive 2 or PSD2) and the emergence of new technologies (3DS2) are having a profound impact on the application of digital security and its underlying framework. And, as part of the change, the adoption of biometrics (or “something you are”) is becoming an increasingly important component of customer authentication.

This Seminar will give you a deep insight into the security-related aspects of PSD2, the regulatory requirement for Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), the way the key players in the payments market are responding, and the implications for all the key stakeholders in the authentication value chain.

In addition, you can benefit from new insights into the latest generation of 3D Secure technology (3DS2), the role it plays in and the Mastercard Digital Security Roadmap, and the potential for advanced identity solutions to bring another layer of protection to Mastercard products and solutions in Europe.
