Dan is a professional engineer with 10+ years of experience in the energy sector. He works at FortisBC, a regulated utility that provides energy solutions to 1.2 million people across British Columbia. New to his role of Innovation Specialist, Dan’s focus is on initiatives that drive the company towards it 30by30 goals, i.e. reducing customers’ greenhouse gas emissions by 30 per cent by the year 2030. These initiatives include, but are not limited to, energy efficiency, renewable natural gas, low and zero-carbon transportation, and hydrogen. Dan is excited about being a part of the “culture shift” at FortisBC, and hopefully the energy sector at large, towards a more innovative frame of mind.
