Regulatory update in the payments industry

2 April 2019, Amsterdam

The card business is subject to significant regulatory scrutiny, which can have a major impact on who can do business and how. As regulation for payments is only likely to increase, industry stakeholders need to anticipate how regulation will affect their business.

This seminar will provide an overview of the regulatory situation in Europe, focusing on the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2)/Open Banking and implications for card payments as well as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which entered into force on 25 May 2018. Trainers will explain in practical terms what the latest changes in the regulatory landscape will mean for issuers, acquirers, cardholders, merchants, payment schemes and other key stakeholders in the ecosystem.
