Authorization processing

Authorization is the first step in the transaction lifecycle and is designed to determine if the card as well as the cardholder are genuine and provide a yes or no decision for an individual transaction. This course will introduce you to the basic concepts of authorization operations. You will develop a good understanding of the importance of authorization, the reason behind different response codes and how transactions are routed. We will cover a variety of topics such as transaction types, network and message specifications, authorization methods and value added on-behalf services. You will learn the most important concepts in authorization processing and will be able to apply those to your specific working needs.

At the end of the course you will be able to:
