George Ranch Historical Park Tour
When visitors come to Houston, most are looking for cows and cowboys. In modern Houston, it is sometimes hard to find the “Old West” but it is there. Located about a 45 minute drive from downtown is the George Ranch. The Ranch is a living history facility that showcases how the cowboy worked. Also included are several sections that represent several eras of Texas from the early 1800’s, the 1860’s, the 1900’s and the 1920’s. Each era has a representative house and docents/living historians portraying life in a specific time period. Click here for more information.
