Robert G. Frykberg DPM, MPH - Chairman

Robert Frykbergreceived his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1976 prior to completing his residency in podiatric surgery at the New England Deaconess Hospital/Harvard Medical School, Boston in 1978. In 1994 he received his Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health with a concentration in quantitative methods. Dr. Frykberg currently holds the position of Chief of the Podiatry section and Podiatric Residency Director at the Carl T. Hayden Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona and is an Adjunct Professor, Midwestern University Program in Podiatric Medicine.

Jeffrey Robbins, DPM - Co-Chair

Jeffrey M. Robbins, DPM is the Director of the Veterans Health Administration Headquarters Podiatry Services and Chief of the Podiatry Section at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. He is a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, Cleveland Ohio where he also holds the faculty stature of Professor of Podiatric Medicine. In addition he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine and the American Board of Podiatric Public Health, and is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine

Cynthia Fleck, RN, BSN, MBA, - Co-Chair

Cynthia Fleck, ET/WOCN, CWS, CFCN, DNC is a board certified wound specialist and dermatology advanced practice nurse who has presented over 500 seminars and programs throughout the world. She has written 250 articles and chapters for various peer reviewed and clinical publications and texts. In addition, she writes for numerous industry publications and journals as well as serving on several editorial advisory boards. She served as the  President and Chairman of the Board of the American Academy of Wound Management (AAWM) and Director of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC).  She is currently Diplomat of the American Professional Wound Care Association where she serves on the Medical Advisory Board, Director of the American College of Certified Wound Specialists and President of Cynthia Fleck and Associates, LLC.

Pamela Scarborough, PT, DPT, MS, CDE, CWS - Co-Chair

Pamela Scarbrough, PT, DPT, MS, CDE, CWS, CEEAA - Dr. Scarborough's clinical career spans over 30 years having practiced in a variety of setting including acute, out-patient, home health and long-term care. Her clinical experience has included traditional physical therapy, orthopedics and sports medicine, cardiac rehabilitation, and wound care. Pamela holds an active licensed as a physical therapist in the state of Texas and is certified by two nationally accredited boards, the National Certification Board of Diabetes Educators, where she has held the credential of Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) since 1997, and the American Board of Wound Management where she has held the Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) credential since the year 2000. In addition, Dr. Scarborough is certified by the Geriatric Section of the American Physical Therapy Association as a Certified Exercise Expert for Aging Adults (CEEAA). She is on the board of directors for the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care where she currently serves as the liaison to the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (NPUAP), and has served on numerous symposium planning panels and association boards over her extensive career.

Dot Weir, RN, CWON, CWS, - Co-Chair

Dot Weir, RN, CWON, CWS has been a registered nurse for 34 years, and has spent 30 of those years dedicated to the practice of ostomy and wound care. She received her nursing degree in 1976, and in 1980 received her Enterostomal Therapy (now Wound, Ostomy and Continence) training from Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, PA. Dot has maintained her board certification in ostomy and wound care through the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Certification Board (CWCN, COCN) since then, and completed her board certification from the American Academy of Wound Management (CWS) in 2004.

George Vuturo, RPh, PhD

Dr. Vuturo is the Managing Partner of Professional Education Services Group (PESG). Professional Education Services Group is a medical education company that specializes in evidence-based educational programming for health care professionals. PESG’s core business is the provision of all aspects of continuing medical education program planning, administration and implementation. PESG is assisting in continuing education program planning and development and will provide continuing medical education credit for physicians and nurses. Dr. Vuturo has been an innovator in developing high impact CME platforms for health professionals that positively influence practitioner behavior and improve patient outcomes. As a pioneer in outcomes assessment he has guided the development of comprehensive assessment mechanisms and data management utilities linking outcomes and changes in practice patterns.

Alan Sherman, DPM, CCMEP - Management

Alan Sherman is a board certified podiatrist who practiced in Delray Beach Florida for 25 years. In 1995, Dr. Sherman founded an online community and website called Podiatry Online, which grew to become the largest Internet community and advocacy group for podiatrists in the world. Podiatry Online was acquired by McKesson in 2000, and Dr. Sherman continued to run it for 3 years, when he stepped down as Editor. He then co-founded PRESENT e-Learning Systems with Michael Shore, DPM, which went on to become a leading provider of online CME education and social networking services for health care professionals. Its first product was PRESENT Podiatric Residency Education Online, which standardized the curriculum for podiatric residency programs across the country via its weekly online lecture series and ezine publications. PRESENT e-Learning Systems then created PRESENT Diabetes, who's "Mentor" online CME education and social networking platform provides professional education to over 100,000 diabetes care professionals. PRESENT puts on 5 live podiatry conferences a year, the East and West Superbones Conferences, the Desert Foot Conference for the VA, and the East and West PRESENT Podiatric Residency Education Summits. PRESENT e-Learning System's most recent product is Mentor, an online learning program that is being used to teach residents at Mount Sinai Medical School, Harvard Medical School and the University of Maryland inpatient management of diabetes.

Michael Shore, DPM - Management

Dr. Shore is a board certified podiatrist who opened his South Florida podiatry practice in June, 1988, and maintained a surgical and wound care practice until March of 2006. He co-founded Podiatry Online, which was acquired by Mckesson/Moore Medical in June of 2000. Dr. Shore was a consultant to Mckesson/Moore Medical from June of 2000 through June of 2003. In 2003, he co-founded PRESENT e-Learning Systems which, in addition to running five live national podiatry conferences each year, is now the largest online educational portal for podiatric residents and practicing podiatrists nationally. In 2007, he co-founded PRESENT Diabetes, which is the first educational site to combine social networking with CME and now publishes to over 100,000 healthcare professionals.
