The 2018 Kentucky Farm Bureau State Young Farmer Summer Outing will be held  July 13-14, at the Holiday Inn - University Plaza Hotel in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This event will provide a relaxed, fun atmosphere for young farm families to socialize, tour local ag-related sites, and gain a better understanding of the Farm Bureau organization.

The weekend will formally begin with the preliminary rounds of the 2018 Discussion Meet Contest Friday morning. Applications were mailed to the counties in March and are due to the state office no later than Friday, June 15th. Applications can be found online at kyfb.com/federation/young-farmers. Following the opening luncheon, participants are welcome to take part in one of two afternoon tours. The evening will conclude at the beautiful Highland Stables. Please refer to the tentative agenda tab for details.

Saturday begins with the “Eggs and Issues” Breakfast featuring our annual young farmer policy development session. Following breakfast, participants will depart on one of five tours you chose online at the time you register. The Young Farmer Summer Outing will conclude Saturday evening with a dinner and baseball game at the Bowling Green Hot Rod's Stadium.

We will be collecting the full amount of the event costs from attendees as they register. This will include both the registration and hotel fees ($119 plus tax/night minus onsite incidental costs). The conference early registration fee is $150 for adults and $80 for children ages 2-12 through Friday, June 8, 2018. After June 8, registration will be available at $175 for adults and $90 for children ages 2-12. Participants may register onsite, but hotel availability cannot be guaranteed after Friday, June 22, 2018, which is also the online registration deadline. No refunds will be given for cancellations after Friday, June 22nd.
